With 2,033 new cases of novel coronavirus, Maharashtra’s state tally has climbed over 35,000 mark

Maharashtra on Monday reported over 2000 new cases of Covid-19, taking the state tally over 35,000. In the last 24 hours, Maharashtra has reported 51 deaths due to the virus. The total number of people who have died in the state due to Covid-19 is now 1,249.

Of the total 35,058 cases in Maharashtra, 21,335 cases are from Mumbai alone. The metropolitan city has reported a staggering number of total deaths. At least 757 people have died in the city due to Covid-19. In the last 24 hours, 23 people died here.

Apart from Mumbai, Pune and Navi Mumbai reported eight deaths each, Jalgaon reported three, Aurangabad city, Ahmednagar district and Nagpur city two each and one death each was reported from Bhivandi and Palghar. A resident fo Bihar also died in Mumbai.

So far, 8,437 patients in Maharashtra have been discharged till date after full recovery.
