Amitabh Bachchan shared the screen space with son Abhishek Bachchan for the first time in 2005 film Bunty Aur Babli. The film, directed by Shaad Ali, also starred Rani Mukerji in the lead role.

Bunty Aur Babli’s famous song, Kajra Re, featuring Amitabh, Abhishek and his wife Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, was a major hit. Tomorrow (May 27), the film will complete 15 years.

In a recent tweet, Big B recalled his memories of shooting for Bunty Aur Babli with Abhishek. He also mentioned about the stage performances he had given with Abhishek and Aishwarya on Kajra Re.

He wrote, “Bunty Aur Babli … my first film with Abhishek .. such fun .. and what a team .. !! .. and ‘kajaraare .. on all our stage shows .. yoo hooo ..(sic).”

Bunty Aur Babli was written and produced by Aditya Chopra. The film revolves around the life of two dreamers who come from small-towns. They bump into each other while they are running away from their respective towns. Soon, they become good friends. To sustain in big cities and to fullfil their dreams, the couple begins conning people, leading to a lot of confusion and a laughter riot.

Bunty Aur Babli was a major hit at the box office. The film also received praises from critics. Now, the makers are set to bring the sequel of the film titled Bunty Aur Babli 2. It features Saif Ali Khan, Rani Mukerji, Siddhant Chaturvedi and debutante Sharvari in lead roles.
