NEW DELHI: Ampere Electric, a 100% subsidiary of Greaves Cotton, on Monday launched Magnus Pro electric scooter at Rs 73,900 (ex-showroom).
Magnus Pro, which is the company’s third product in the last 18 months, comes with 100 kilometers on economy mode and 80 kilometers on performance mode against a full charge. The battery takes around five hours to full charge.
Manufacturers say 0-40 kmph pick up is clocked under 10 seconds. The top speed of the scooter is up to 55 kmph.
Among features, Magnus Pro comes with a digital dashboard, LED headlamp and boot light, USB charging port, keyless entry with an anti-theft alarm, CBS brakes, and limp home feature (10 km extra in last 10% charge).

Ampere says the running cost is as low as 15paise/kilometer. Magus Pro rides on front telescopic suspension and 150 mm ground clearance.
Magnus Pro comes in four colour options: Golden yellow, graphite black, bluish pearl white and metallic red.
Three years standard warranty is available on the e-scooter, which is extendable up to five years. Through the digital launch, the company rolled out Magnus Pro in Bengaluru and will gradually expand its footprint across the country.
Currently, there are over 400 Greaves and Ampere showrooms across the country.
