Hiking this beast is another adventure that’s a must-do on Jeju Island.

Visit a lava tunnel, the Manjanggul Cave, one of the finest in the world. A lava tunnel is formed when the lava deep in the layers of earth ground spouts from the peak and flows to the surface. Manjanggul Cave has a variety of interesting structures inside, including 70 cm lava stalagmites and the lava tube tunnels. The stone pillars and stalactites are widely spread, and the tunnels show off the cave’s topographical features.
The lava tunnel, with its well-monitored temperatures are perfectly safe to visit. It has a 7.2-kilometer-stretch open to tourists, sustaining a temperature of 11~21℃ that creates a comfortable atmosphere.
