NEW DELHI: Italian luxury superbike manufacturer, Ducati has launched the Panigale V2 in India starting at Rs 16.99 lakh (ex-showroom).
Ducati Panigale V2 will draw power from a 955 cc Superquadro, twin-cylinder engine that makes 155 PS and 104 Nm of peak torque and is the first BS6 launch of the year for the Italian manufacturer.
This engine is coupled to a six-speed gearbox with slipper clutch and gets bi-directional quickshifter as standard. Ducati had already commenced the pre-bookings of this bike against an initial amount of Rs 1 lakh.
Ducati Panigale V2 borrows several design cues from Panigale V4, including the twin LED headlamp with LED DRLs, two large air intakes, a tall windscreen, double layer fairing, muscular fuel tank, step-up style split seat, and signature 5-spoke alloy wheels.
Globally, the Panigale is available in two colours — Ducati Red and White Rosso with red accents.
Ducati Panigale V2 gets a TFT instrument console and other electronic features like traction control system, wheelie control, and a six-axis inertial measurement unit (IMU) which instantly detects bike’s roll, yaw, and pitch angles.
Ducati Panigale V2 gets three riding modes — Race, Sport, and Street — and the rider can choose between these using switchgear on the handle.
