Police have filed a case filed against the sons of BJP Rajya Sabha MP Bhagwat Karad for barging into the house of Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) worker, Kunal Marathe, and assaulting him and his family members in Aurangabad in Maharashtra.
On Saturday night, Harshwardhan and Varun – sons of the Karad – barged into the house of Marathe, 25, and thrashed him at his house in Kotla Colony area in presence of his parents, who have also sustained injuries.
Marathe told India Today TV, “The BJP MP’s sons have developed an interest in contesting the polls from the same area I’ve been working.”
Marathe said Harshwardhan and Varun have been angry on him because of the humanitarian work he has been doing during the ongoing lockdown. The MP’s son are threatened with my growing popularity.
MP Karad, however, rubbished the BJYM MP Bhagwat Karad leader’s claims.
