India’s Covid-19 caseload went past 1.75 lakh on Saturday, three days after crossing the 1.5 lakh milestone, as the number of new infections touched another new peak, going past 8,000 for the first time in a single day. Fresh cases have risen to new highs in seven of the last 10 days.
