After Kabir Singh, Shahid Kapoor is gearing up for his next film Jersey. Fans are eagerly waiting to watch Shahid as a cricketer on the big screen. Interestingly, they will also get to see Shahid reunite with his father Pankaj Kapur in Jersey, after the 2015 release, Shaandaar. In Jersey, Pankaj will essay the role of Shahid’s mentor.
Despite having worked with Pankaj before, the 39-year-old actor still feels nervous about sharing screen space with him. Shahid recently spoke about this in a chat session with fans on Twitter.
A fan asked the Kabir Singh actor about his experience of working with his dad Pankaj Kapur in Gowtham Tinnanuri’s directorial venture, Jersey. To which Shahid replied, “I still get nervous sharing the frame with him (sic).”

Another Twitter user tweeted that he has huge expectations from Jersey after the blockbuster hit Kabir Singh and asked the actor to share some details about the upcoming film. “Huge Expectations From Jersey After Kabir Singh, Pls Share Something About It With Us? (sic),” the Twitter user wrote.
Shahid replied that he is trying his best to make a good film. “Just trying our best to make a good film. But I am very happy with whatever we have done so far. Really enjoying the journey and the team,” the actor responded.

In Shaandaar, Shahid played the lead role of Jagjinder Joginder, an event manager and Pankaj was cast as Bipin Arora, father of two daughters Isha (Sanah Kapur) and Alia (Alia Bhatt). Alia was Shahid’s love interest in the film.
Before Shaandaar, Shahid Kapoor worked with Pankaj Kapur in his directorial venture Mausam in 2011, also starring Sonam Kapoor.
Coming back to Jersey, Shahid is missing being on the sets of the film, and he recently posted a new picture of his character from the film on Instagram. See his post:
Jersey is a sports drama and a Hindi remake of Telugu film of the same name. Mrunal Thakur will play Shahid’s love interest in the upcoming movie. It is scheduled to hit the screens on August 28, 2020, although there may be a delay due to the novel coronavirus pandemic.
