Music director Wajid Khan died at the age of 42. His brother Sajid Khan and actor Aditya Pancholi arrived at his funeral in Versova cemetery.

Music composer, singer, and music director Wajid Khan of the famous Sajid-Wajid duo died today at the age of 42. Wajid Khan had tested positive for the novel coronavirus a few days ago. He was suffering from a kidney infection and had also undergone a kidney transplant a few months ago. The news of his death came as a huge shock to the entire film industry.
Wajid Khan’s brother Sajid Khan arrived for the funeral and the photos are doing rounds on social media. He was laid to rest at the Versova cemetery in Mumbai. Actor Irrfan was also buried at the Versova cemetery.
Actor Aditya Pancholi also arrived at the funeral.
The news of Wajid’s death was released by music composer Salim Merchant on social media. He had tweeted, “Devastated with the news of the passing away of my brother Wajid of Sajid-Wajid fame. May Allah give strength to the family. Safe travels bro @wajidkhan7. You’ve gone too soon. It’s a huge loss to our fraternity. I’m shocked & broken. Inna Lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji’un (sic).”

Other stars including Priyanka Chopra, Amitabh Bachchan, Parineeti Chopra, Akshay Kumar, Sonam Kapoor, Arjun Kapoor, Neha Dhupia and many others tweeted about the demise of the music director.
Wajid and his brother Sajid made their debut in Bollywood with Salman Khan’s 1998 film Pyaar Kiya Toh Darna Kya. Wajid even co-composed Salman’s songs Pyaar Karona and Bhai Bhai during the novel coronavirus lockdown.
