Have the people of the country realized the true nature of Modi and Shah?
A government conspiring to do anything to retain power
Vinay Goel
PM Modi and Shah find themselves in a "devil and the deep blue sea" situation—trapped between a well and a chasm. They have neither control over the situation nor a visible path to overcome the problems. Yet, efforts are being made to cling to power by any means necessary. Currently, fierce protests and demonstrations over various issues are taking place across all Indian states. Protesters are being maligned as "anti-nationals" and "traitors" by pro-government elements, a conspiracy in which the country's mainstream media is complicit.
Why do Modi and Shah appear to be yielding to the CJP?
On July 20, the 'Kakroach Janata Party' staged a protest at Jantar Mantar in Delhi against corruption and mismanagement in the Education Department. To stop the protesters, the Delhi Police resorted to barbaric tactics, including a lathi-charge involving spiked batons, the use of pellet guns, and inhumane conduct. Women and young girls participating in the protest were subjected to inhumane brutality; they were dragged along the road and severely beaten with batons. Furthermore, police officers even tore the clothes of the young women. Serious allegations were leveled against IPS officer Sandeep Lamba in this matter, and an inspector was accused of indecent behavior towards a woman; yet, even after two months, the government has taken no action against the accused officers and constables. When the matter was raised in the Supreme Court, it resulted in disappointment; the Court merely constituted an inquiry committee and considered the matter closed. Consequently, the CJP and the INDIA bloc fiercely criticized Modi and Shah during the Parliament's monsoon session. For the first time in history, the Lok Sabha Speaker did not even offer a vote of thanks at the conclusion of the session. The situation was such that PM Modi and Amit Shah could not muster the courage to attend the House throughout the entire session.
