A man was injured after Nepal police shot at three Indian citizens near India-Nepal border in Bihar’s Kishanganj on Saturday night. The injured man was rushed to a hospital and is said to be critical.
The injured man has been identified as 25-year-old Jitendra Kumar and had gone to find his cattle at the Tola Mafi village situated on the India-Nepal border, along with his two friends Ankit Kumar Singh and Gulshan Kumar Singh, at around 7:30 pm on Saturday.
When the three walked towards a farm outside the village, the Nepal Police deployed along the India-Nepal border opened fire at them, injuring Jitendra Kumar.
The local police and 12th Batallion of the Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) have been informed about the matter.
The Saturday incident comes over a month after an Indian man was shot dead while three others received gunshot injuries after Nepal border police troops opened fire at them at adjoining Bihar’s Sitamarhi district on June 12.
