Bihar Police has found a unique way to step up pressure on absconding criminals who are evading arrest for the past several years. The police is using band, baaja (wedding orchestra) to nab criminals.

In a video that is going viral on social media, Bihar Police can be seen reaching the house of an absconding criminal with the loud orchestra playing alongside. The police then put up a notice at the house asking the criminal to surrender immediately.

The band party also caught the attention of locals in the village.

The police had gone to the house of absconding criminal Chandan Yadav on Saturday at Madwa village in Bhagalpur district.

The police arrived with a band party and pasted a notice at his door asking him to surrender.

Police said if Chandan Yadav adheres to the notice and surrenders before the police within the stipulated time, they would move the court for attachment of his property.
