Nearly eight months on since the first COVID-19 case was diagnosed, scientists are still discovering a multitude of ways the viral infection has been impacting people. Earlier referred to as a ‘flu-like’ disease, a COVID diagnosis could impact some in a mild way, some in a severe way and attack vitals differently-from the respiratory tract, digestive system, skin, immune system, heart and the brain. Some of these symptoms could even last beyond diagnosis and treatment.
Scientists, in newer studies, have now discovered that another illness and symptom could ail COVID-19 survivors- psychological delusions and impairment.
