Taking advantage of the Covid situation, thieves broke into an infected patient’s house in Jharkhand’s Jamshedpur city. But, before doing their usual business, the thieves had a feast after cooking mutton, rice and making chapattis at the house they broke into.

The house belongs to a teacher who is currently undergoing treatment for coronavirus at the Tata Main Hospital in Jamshedpur.

The thieves, after feasting on mutton, rice and chapattis, stole valuables and cash worth Rs 50,000 and fled.

According to the house owner’s brother, the house and its adjoining area were declared a containment zone after the teacher tested positive on July 8. The family came to know about the theft after they went to check the house.
