K-Pop singer Yohan, the member of the famous boyband TST, died on Tuesday (June 16) at the age of 28. His real name was Kim Jeong-hwan. The news of the singer’s death was announced by TST’s music label KJ Music Entertainment.
According to Mirror, the statement that KJ Music Entertainment released read, “Hello. This is TST’s label, KJ Music Entertainment. We are sad to relay the most unfortunate, sorrowful news. Back on June 16, TST member Yohan left this world. The late Yohan’s family is currently in deep mourning. The family has pleaded that media articles about Yohan’s passing, such as those making speculations about the cause of his death, be refrained out of respect. We express our deepest condolences in light of Yohan’s final parting.”
The statement did not reveal any details regarding the cause behind the singer’s death as his family pleaded for it to remain private. Reportedly, the singer’s funeral will be held on Thursday.
Local media reports stated that his wake is being held at the Severance Hospital in Sinchon, Seoul and he will be buried at the Yongin Catholic Park Cemetery.
Yohan shot to fame as a member of TST, formerly known as Top Secret. Before that he was a member of another pop group NOM.
