Former Congress President Rahul Gandhi was seen on Saturday interacting with migrants in New Delhi. The labourers were reportedly walking back to their native homes when they decided to rest near the Sukhdev Vihar flyover on Mathura Road when the Congress leader spotted them
Pictures show him sitting alongside a group of nearly 14-15 migrants and talking to them about their ordeal before leaving. Soon after, some Congress workers arrived at the spot and took the migrant workers away in their cars.
It is being reported that the Congress workers wanted to take a large number of migrants in one car but the police intervened and told them that not more than three people can travel in a four-wheeler as per the guidelines presently in force.
This is when the Congress workers went back and go more cars to be able to take the migrant workers.

Rahul Gandhi, media persons and some congressmen were present and the VIP was interacting with the labourers who were about 15 in number.”
The police statement also clarified that there were 11 males, four females and one child in that group of migrants. “After spending about 15-20 minutes, he (Gandhi) left the place. The other persons with Sh. Rahul Gandhi were briefed by SHO NFC to follow social distancing in the vehicle as per guidelines. Later they took the labours with them,” added the statement issued by Delhi Police in this regard.
