NEW DELHI: The new Royal Enfield Meteor 350 is about to hit the market. With new images coming in, the motorcycle looks like it is quite ready to hit the roads.
The Royal Enfield Meteor 350 is set to replace the Royal Enfield Thunderbird 350, ending the latter’s dream run of 18 years in India.
The Royal Enfield Meteor 350 will be an all-new motorcycle with new engine, new features and a new chassis. The new BS6 350cc engine is expected to be slightly different than the engines used in the Royal Enfield Bullet 350 and the Royal Enfield Classic 350.
The new engine is expected to have the SOHC (single overhead cam) instead of the previous push-rod actuated valves. This engine might be more refined and smoother compared to the 350cc UCE (unit constructed engine) of the RE Bullet 350 and RE Classic 350.
The new Royal Enfield Meteor 350 is expected to be feature-rich with accessories like a large windscreen, engine guard and rear luggage support frames. The build of the motorcycle looks like it prioritizes the rider’s and the pillion’s comfort.
The Royal Enfield Meteor was initially scheduled to launch this month, but the motorcycle is expected to break the covers later next month. With the specifications yet to be revealed, this motorcycle still looks a notch better than most of the entry-level touring motorcycles, which might not overwhelm newly initiated riders.
