Sushant Singh Rajput case: Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Kangana Ranaut, Shekhar Kapur to be questioned by Mumbai Police – Times of India

Sushant Singh Rajput’s death by suicide on June 14 is being investigated by the Mumbai police. The late actor’s close friends Rhea Chakraborty, Mahesh Shetty and several others have already recorded their statements. And now, according to Times Now, filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Shekhar Kapur and Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut will also be questioned by the Mumbai Police. While SLB will soon be summoned, Kangana Ranaut and Shekhar Kapur will also be a part of the questioning. Previously, Maharashtra Home Minister Anil Deshmukh shared on Twitter that the Mumbai Police will also probe the ‘professional rivalry’ angle.

A source had earlier informed ETimes that SLB had offered four films to Sushant but their collaboration never materialized, “Sushant Singh Rajput and Sanjay Leela Bhansali were quite fond of each other as well as their work. In fact, not once but 4 times working together was on the cards for them, SLB had offered him 4 films, but due to date issues, things didn’t materialise.”

Kangana Ranaut had earlier shared a fiery public service announcement on her team’s official Instagram handle, coming out strongly against Bollywood for not giving the actor his dues. While Shekhar Kapur had shared on Twitter the he knew the story of the people who had disappointed the late actor. “I knew the pain you were going through. I knew the story of the people that let you down so bad that you would weep on my shoulder. I wish around the last 6 months. I wish you had reached out to me. What happened to you was their Karma. Not yours.” Shekhar Kapur and Sushant were to collaborate for ‘Paani’, but the film was later shelved.
