BANGALORE: Toyota Kirloskar Motor on Friday announced its decision to implement a price increase for Camry Hybrid Electric Vehicle and Vellfire from July.
The impending hike has been necessitated due to the substantial rise in the exchange rate, the carmakers cited. The expected hike should be around 1-2 per cent of the current price.
Toyota introduced its luxury MPV Vellfire earlier in 2020 at Rs 79.50 lakh (ex-showroom), while the 2020 Camry Hybrid in BS6 compliance at Rs 37.88 lakh (ex-showroom).
Along with these, other popular offerings including Fortuner and Innova also fetch a bump in price.
Prices of Toyota Fortuner have been increased by up to Rs 48,000, and is now available between Rs 28.66 lakh and Rs 34.43 lakh (ex-showroom).
Diesel variants of Toyota Innova Crysta and Touring Sport witness a hike in price between Rs 30,000 to Rs 61,000 while petrol alternatives are between Rs 30,000 – 44,000.
Innova Crysta: Rs 15.66 lakh – Rs 23.63 lakh (ex-showroom)
Innova Touring Sport: Rs 19.53 lakh – Rs 24.67 lakh (ex-showroom)
Toyota Glanza and Yaris have also witnessed price hikes and are now priced between Rs 7.01 lakh – 8.96 lakh (ex-showroom) and Rs 8.86 lakh – 14.30 lakh (ex-showroom) respectively.
Surprisingly, the prices of J and G trims of Yaris have been increased by Rs 1.68 lakh and Rs 1.2 lakh, respectively.
