With 28 new Covid-19 cases, Assam’s tally crosses 1500-mark


Of the new cases, 12 have been reported from Nagaon district, 10 cases from Golaghat, one case from Jorhat district, and five cases from the Assam Airport.

With 28 new cases of Covid-19, Assam’s total tally on Tuesday crossed the 1500-mark. The state, as on June 2, has a total of 1,513 coronavirus cases.

Of the new cases, 12 have been reported from Nagaon district, 10 cases from Golaghat, one case from Jorhat district, and five cases from the Assam Airport.

Confirming the report, Assam Health Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma tweeted – “28 new cases of #COVID19+. 12 Nagaon, 10 Golaghat, 1 Jorhat, 5 from Airport. Total cases 1513.”

Meanwhile, 40 coronavirus patients were discharged from hospitals after full recovery and testing negative for the virus twice on Tuesday.

Assam has so far reported 1,513 positive cases of Covid-19, and, out of them, 324 patients have been discharged from hospitals.

The state now has 1,182 active cases of coronavirus.
